VARTA.hybrid.wall is more than just an energy storage system: As an intelligently connected energy system made in Europe, it combines the VARTA.hybrid inverter and the VARTA.wall high-voltage storage into a modular, combining high-performance storage technology with advanced system control in one integrated solution. Whether used as a hybrid or AC-coupled solution, the system offers maximum flexibility for new and existing PV installations. Thanks to intelligent system control, it also enables simple and clear monitoring via our VARTA apps.

Whether AC-coupled for retrofitting an energy storage system or directly hybrid-coupled with PV integration: Thanks to its hybrid capability, the VARTA.hybrid inverter ensures a future-proof solution for expanding and modernising your PV system.1 Up to four independent MPP trackers ensure high yields even with different roof orientations or partial shading.

The plug-in system ensures fast, clean installation and maximum scalability – flexibly expandable to meet future requirements. With a depth of just 10–14 cm, the VARTA.wall is one of the most compact DC high-voltage storage systems in its class and, thanks to its dual-module design, offers greater flexibility – even in confined spaces. Two battery module variants enable flexible installation indoors, as well as in garages and covered outdoor areas, delivering reliable performance under a wide range of conditions.

With VARTA.iq, your customers can connect over 700 compatible devices, intelligently control them according to their individual preferences, and optimise household energy consumption while reducing costs – all conveniently managed via the VARTA.iq app.

The right package for every need

VARTA.iq Basic:
Smart energy management with features such as dynamic electricity tariffs, integration of heat pumps and EV chargers, and reduced grid fees through grid services.

VARTA.iq Pro:
For users with advanced requirements, the VARTA.iq Pro upgrade enables control of additional devices, bidirectional EV charging, and detailed monitoring of energy consumption.

If you do not use VARTA.iq, you can access all your energy storage data via the VARTA Portal and the VARTA.home app.

Full backup power capability with VARTA.backupswitch

The optional VARTA.backupswitch enables complete home supply in backup power mode with automatic switchover.2

Retrofitting in existing household electrical systems is simple and does not require complex modifications.

Intelligent system control & maximum efficiency

VARTA.iq centrally coordinates more than 700 compatible devices and ensures optimal energy flows – even in complex installations with challenging roof structures, heat pumps, EV chargers and high loads. Automatic consumption analysis, intelligent heat pump control, live EV data and dynamic tariffs increase efficiency and unlock additional savings potential – including future revenue opportunities such as bidirectional charging.

Maximum reliability, cost optimisation & grid compliance

Optimised energy procurement based on dynamic tariffs, peak shaving and compliance with §14a control requirements ensure lower energy costs and full regulatory compliance. The VARTA. backupswitch ensures seamless backup power supply in the event of a power outage, allowing your entire household to continue operating without interruption and ensuring maximum operational reliability for connected loads.

Notes

In the event of a grid outage, the VARTA.backupswitch automatically disconnects the home grid from the public grid and enables a three-phase, fully automatic backup power supply.

As it includes integrated power measurement, a separate VARTA.energymeter is not required.

Warranty registration for your energy storage system is carried out via the VARTA Portal or the VARTA.home app.

If you do not use VARTA.iq, all data related to your energy storage system can be accessed via the VARTA Portal and the VARTA.home app.

You can also manage your settings and installer permissions in the VARTA Portal.

The configurations shown are based on the VARTA.wall BM2 module variant.

VARTA.hybrid.wall systems can be cascaded on the AC side without limitation; per cascade, a maximum of one existing VARTA AC system from a previous generation (VARTA pulse neo, VARTA element, or VARTA element backup) is permitted.

The bidirectional wallbox represents an example configuration with a typical vehicle battery capacity. Please observe SoC limitations specified by the respective vehicle manufacturer.
