What is a Date Code?

A Date Code is a 6-character code, that indicates when a product was manufactured. It is used to identify the production date and batch of a product. The Date Code consists of five numbers followed by on letter.
For an exchange request submitted via the conatct form, providing the Date Code is required.

How to properly dispose of old rechargeable battery of your VARTA light

  • Separating the battery from the housing
    If you want to dispose of the entire product, remove the battery from the product housing, if possible.​
     
  • Do not dispose of in houshold trash
    The battery should be disposed of at a battery collection point, the rest of the product should be disposed of as electronic waste.​
     
  • Free returns
    Lithium-ion batteries can be dropped off free of charge at supermarkets, electronics stores, home improvement stores, or municipal recycling centers.​
     
  • Recycling
    By returning these items properly, you help recycle valuable materials such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel, and protect the environment.​
