VARTA EasyBlade is a ready-to-use standard battery pack that serves the demanding needs of today's and tomorrow's AGV and AMR markets. The market-tailored battery solution fits all popular AGVs and AMRs. This avoids long and costly design-in processes and enables a fast time-to-market for the AGV or AMR.
Fabian Beck, General Manager Lithium-Ion Battery Packs at VARTA AG: "Our customers demand standard solutions for their AGV applications. They want reliable, high-performance and scalable battery solutions that enable a fast time-to-market for their products. VARTA EasyBlade combines the experience gained from numerous customer projects. With our technological knowledge and expertise, we have developed a solution for this specific market. With VARTA EasyBlade, we offer a product that can be used in a variety of applications thanks to its well thought-out design and all current certifications. The demand and the projects already implemented with our international customers show that we are hitting a nerve here and delivering exactly the product that the market demands." says.
The battery packs stand for ready-to-use as they already have all important certifications for a system approval and global transport and can thus be put into operation directly. With the ability to scale up to 25 packs in parallel, flexibility is possible when using them in AGV platforms of varying size and power. This means VARTA EasyBlade can also be used as a standard battery solution across an entire fleet. VARTA EasyBlade also features an intelligent battery management system that ensures the performance and long life of the battery packs.
The VARTA EasyBlade battery packs are based on lithium-ion technology and thus bring several advantages compared to other electrochemical systems such as lead-acid. The battery packs have a charging time reduced by a factor of three and an energy density increased by a factor of three with significantly reduced weight.
