Small helpers with a big effect - VARTA expands its range to include hearing aid batteries

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 400 million people worldwide currently suffer from moderate to severe hearing loss, almost 60 million of them in Europe. For people with hearing problems who have to rely on their little helpers in the ear in everyday life, reliable and powerful hearing aid batteries are therefore indispensable. With the expansion of its range, VARTA is helping to ensure that these people can lead independent and fulfilling lives, and enables them to enjoy the best possible hearing experience.

It is particularly important for hearing aid users to choose the right batteries to ensure a long and uninterrupted hearing experience. The new VARTA hearing aid batteries reflect VARTA's quality standards, which consumers have come to appreciate for over 130 years. "Made in Germany" also counts for the latest addition to the product portfolio, as the new hearing aid batteries are also produced at the company's headquarters in Ellwangen (Baden-Württemberg). Furthermore, they are not only leak-proof and mercury-free, but also offer up to 40 hours of additional runtime in the most commonly used battery variant.*

The innovative packaging, in which the batteries can be stored for up to four years without loss of performance or capacity, guarantees particularly easy removal thanks to the rotating and resealable battery wheel, which prevents cells from falling out and is made of 100% recycled PET. Long tabs, which are marked with a corresponding colour coding depending on the size of the hearing aid battery, make it easier to insert the battery into the hearing aid.  In addition, VARTA hearing aid batteries are packaged and marked in accordance with the Medical Devices Ordinance.

The batteries are suitable for both standard and the most modern hearing aids on the market, which can be connected to a smartphone or TV via Bluetooth, for example. This means that they can also be used for streaming series, listening to music or making phone calls - which requires additional energy that the VARTA hearing aid batteries reliably provide.

VARTA hearing aid batteries not only offer a long runtime and easy handling, they also provide a feeling of security and independence for people with hearing problems. The new VARTA hearing aid batteries will be available from June in sizes 10, 13, 312 and 675 in two packaging sizes with six or eight batteries for €7.49 (RRP) and €9.49 (RRP).
*Up to 40 hours additional runtime for hearing aid battery type 312 vs. IEC 60086-2 Ed. 14.0 hearing aid standard MAD. Performance may vary depending on use.
