21700/V4Drive: The V4Drive in 21700 format is an ultra-high performance lithium-ion round cell. It can be fully charged in only 6 minutes and offers high performance even at low temperatures.
This makes it ideal for all applications where power plays a decisive role. VARTA also plans to offer other large-format lithium-ion round cells in the future.

Printed batteries: In several research projects, VARTA is working on printed batteries for various areas of application, for example as smart labels or as printed patches for monitoring or controlling therapeutic treatments.

CO2 neutral production facilities by 2027

We constantly strive to optimize our processes, production and products. Our vision is to achieve CO2-neutral manufacturing according to PAS-2060 by 2027. Environmental aspects in production, logistics and on-site activities play just as important a role in this as does the expansion of our sustainability-management system.

 

Plastic free packaging

Our new products are distinguished by unique innovations in materials and handling. We have completely eliminated plastic as a packaging material for many products. All other products are impressive, too, thanks to our use of up to 90% recycled material. The new, patent pending opening / closing mechanism is especially innovative. This mechanism makes it easy to remove cells individually and also serves as an ideal container for returning discharged cells to collection stations in a compact, environmentally friendly manner.
