VARTA at the MedtecLIVE 2021

VARTA AG will be focusing on the latest generation CoinPower A4, the lithium-ion cell with the highest energy density of all time. The cell makes forward-looking technologies possible in the medical but also in other fields such as the Internet of Things or Industry 4.0.

More details for VARTA CoinPower A4 can be found here.

Thanks to years of experience, VARTA can draw on a broad type programme of standard and customised solutions for medical applications. This includes the portfolio of primary power solutions, from lithium button cells, cylindrical lithium cells and mercury-free silver oxide cells to alkaline batteries, which find their use in medical devices such as pulse and blood pressure monitors, clinical thermometers, insulin pumps and pipettes.

Another product is the hydrogen generator cell (H2 cell), which is used in medicine and health, for example, in the automatic dosing of medicines, as it is the case with insulin pumps. With the build-up of a gas pressure, the release of a substance is triggered by displacement.

In addition, VARTA presents its range of hearing aid batteries of the in-house brand power one. VARTA hearing aid power solutions are produced in Germany in a highly automated process and stand for flexibility, safety and sustainability.

Fabian Hirsch, Product Manager CoinPower at VARTA AG, will speak on the topic of " We minimize to maximize your opportunities – energy solutions for smart wearables" as part of the special show “Wearables” in the Technology Session. What opportunities and challenges are associated with the wearables market? How can suppliers adapt to this and what opportunities for cooperation and growth are there? The Technology Session will take place on 22nd April from 1.15 pm to 2.30 pm.
