VARTA AG cooperates with the German Deaf Sports Association

For several years now, VARTA AG has been sponsoring the German Deaf Sports Association together with its brand power one for hearing aid batteries in order to support people with hearing loss.
The partnership helps the German Deaf Sports Association to purchase additional training and competition equipment, provides training opportunities and courses. It also helps to reduce additional costs of practicing competitive sports for the athletes.
This year, the cooperation will also be extended to include a commitment and VARTA will thus also be visibly represented as a jersey sponsor with the new brand logo.

„It is our target to support people with hearing loss with our hearing aid batteries and resources. We are involved in a wide range of projects around the world. We see power one hearing aid energy solutions as the strong heart of the hearing aid and want to enable more quality of life and independence. As the technology leader in primary hearing aid batteries, VARTA is in close contact with hearing aid developers and is constantly conducting research to further develop our products and adapt them to ever-changing requirements”, says Torsten Schmerer, General Manager Microbatteries at VARTA.

VARTA is the technology leader in the field of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, and this technology is also used in powerful hearing aid batteries as a so-called "Li-Ion accu". Lithium-ion technology provides energy in many other cordless devices such as headsets, sports and fitness trackers and in the field of health monitoring.
